Adding Multiple Voxes to an Action List

If you want to add information to a Vox you have already recorded, one solution that can save time is to simply add a second Vox to your Main. The Vox can be added either before or after the Vox you have already recorded. This keeps you from having to repeat the information you had already recorded in your original Vox. You can add as many Voxes as you like, and you can move them around by simply dragging and dropping them within the list itself.

For example, the Opening Greeting on Kathys Pet Supply is one Vox that says, "Thank you for calling Kathys Pet Supply! Here are a few commands you can use at any time during your call. If you wish to be transferred to one of our store clerks at any time, just say "Transfer Me". To return to the Main Menu, say "Main Menu". To end your call, say "Goodbye. If you wanted to add something else to opening greeting, such as information about monthly specials, you could set up the Voxes in the Start Module as follows:

  1. Open the Start Module.
  2. Expand the Main.
  3. Add a Quick Vox telling about the monthly specials. For example, "This month, we have a special on all brands of dog food. Any bag of dog food over ten pounds is 15% off!"

If you like, you can even record Library Voxes, which are more convenient when you have information that you need to use often in your script. For example, if you were constantly needing to say "If you wish to pay by credit card, you must be an authorized user on the account" several times in your script, you could record this as a Library Vox and then add it to other Voxes. Then, if you needed to say, "We accept cash, checks and credit card payments. If you wish to pay by credit card, you must be an authorized user on the account. Please make your checks payable to Kathys Pet Supply," you would make three different voxes, like so:

If you choose to break up your information using different Voxes, just make sure you dont break up any information mid-sentence. Sometimes there are slight pauses between Voxes. These pauses are fine between sentences, but sounds awkward in the middle of a sentence.

You will also want to make sure your Voxes sound consistent. If one is recorded perfectly in a quiet room and the other has background noise or is louder in volume, the call will not sound smooth.
