Upgrading the Platform
LumenVox releases monthly versions of its products. When you first purchase a license for a product,
you receive free upgrades for that license for one year. After that, software upgrades are covered as
part of an annual maintenance contract. You may contact LumenVox Sales for more information about
maintenance contracts.
You may always download the latest software that you have access to by
logging into your account and
clicking "Your Software Downloads."
The Release Notes for a product document the changes in each version. Our recommendation is that you keep
your product versions in synch; thus if you upgrade your Platform, you should also upgrade your Engine and
your License Server.
Before upgrading to a newer version of the software, it is a good idea to uninstall the old versions using
the Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel. Uninstall the License Server (and any optional components
such as the Speech Tuner or MRCP Server. Uninstall the Platform, and then finally uninstall the Engine.
Once the Engine has been uninstalled, reboot your machine. Now install the Engine and Platform, and restart
the machine. Finally install the additional components (License Server, MRCP Server, etc.). You do not need
to restart after installing the additional components.
