Development
When you begin developing your Speech Application, you may want to use the following plan of attack:
- Begin by developing the basic skeleton of your system on paper. Think about how you want your call flow to work.
- Next, decide what type of Module you want to use to create each element of your call.
-
Begin developing your system in the Designer by working on the basic structure first. Dont worry about
your scripts and start by recording everything with Quick Voxes in your own voice, even if you plan to use
a different persons voice later.
- Once you have a rough skeleton, work on refining your scripts and your Grammars
- Do several types of tests to make sure your Applicaton is set up to flow properly:
-
Begin by writing out your basic script and reading it out loud to another person. Notice what
they say and adjust your system accordingly.
-
Test all the areas of your program by barging in with an invalid word to test all your No Matches
and by not talking in each area to test No Inputs.
-
Test your system again by having other people call it. Find the areas where they have difficulty
and adjust accordingly.
