There are two basic ways of changing options used by the MRCPv1 Server. The first is to edit a file called mrcp.config that is put into C:\Program Files\LumenVox\MRCPServer\config\ by default.
The values specified in this file will be used by the MRCPv1 Server when it is first started and will apply to all recognitions unless overwritten as part of the MRCP request. All of the Server Specific Parameters must be set in the configuration file and cannot be modified without restarting the server.
The second method of changing options is laid out in the MRCPv1 specification, which allows for MRCP sessions to include, as part of a RECOGNITION or SET-PARAMS method, changes to MRCP parameters that apply to that session. The parameters that are part of the standard are outlined in Streaming Media Properties and may be set either via configuration file or as part of the session.
LumenVox has also extended the MRCPv1 specification with a number of vendor-specific parameters. Much like the standard parameters, these can be set in either the configuration file or as part of a RECOGNITION or SET-PARAMS method. These vendor-specific parameters are documented in Vendor-Specific Properties.
If you are used to working with VoiceXML or the LumenVox Speech Engine API, we also have a document that can guide you in how various VXML/API properties correspond with MRCP properties.
