Edward Miller is the Chairman and Founder of LumenVox and is responsible for developing the company's strategic vision, technology and business strategies. Ed founded LumenVox after more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing multi–lingual and multi–currency accounting systems for worldwide corporations; including founding Progressive Computing LLC., where he oversees a telephony hosting facility with a carrier grade, state of the art voice over IP infrastructure to offer speech based applications in the cloud to service providers. Throughout his career, Ed has developed a comprehensive knowledge of human computer interaction, machine learning, networking, data handling theories and natural language processing. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science from Hillsdale College and holds 5 U.S. Speech Recognition patents.
When Ed's not at home tuning the computer systems that run the solar, water, heat, and cooling of his eco–friendly house, you can find him traveling abroad on high altitude camping treks or river rafting adventures.
Dave Rich currently serves as the CEO and is responsible for all aspects of company planning and operations. He came to LumenVox in 2011 with more than 17 years of experience in the speech industry and from senior roles in start–ups through Fortune 500 companies. Dave held multiple leadership roles with American Airlines in M&A and the Call Center organization, oversaw Sales Operations and Industry Marketing at Nuance Communications, was VP of Operations for the consumer transcription services company Jott Networks, and was most recently an executive with Eego Ltd and Ziplocal. Dave holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Pacific Lutheran University. He was also a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Freiburg in Germany.
Dave enjoys sailing, bicycling with his family, and helping lead his son's Boy Scout Troop. He also has a passion for exploring the world. In addition to having visited more than 30 countries, Dave has lived in France, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Edita Bilak is responsible for overseeing all financial operations for LumenVox. She has over 20 years of experience in private and public accounting and has held positions as Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Accounting Manager and Banking Officer across many industries, including, technology, banking, manufacturing, retail and nonprofits. Edita is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. Edita holds an MBA from University of Phoenix.
Edita likes to spend her spare time golfing, gardening, volunteering, and hanging out with her German Shepherd and 2 Corgi mixes, all rescued from the same shelter.
Jim Blake is responsible for the design and implementation of all LumenVox technology. He came to LumenVox in 1999 after studying Computer Science at Coleman University. In his tenure at LumenVox, Jim has designed and implemented complete IVR solutions, has gained extensive database experience designing and implementing a distributed multi–terabyte database system to handle personal user information, call center integration, accounting integration, marketing data and reporting as well as creating numerous high availability distributed architecture solutions and managing a data center with over 200 servers.
Jim spends his spare time with his wife and their new daughter and remodeling his house that was built in 1939. Jim is also a great short order cook and spends every Labor Day running the kitchen at his family's restaurant in Wyoming.
Nigel Quinnin is responsible for leading and managing the LumenVox software development team, while producing world class products that address customer needs. He joined the LumenVox team in 2008 from a strong background leading software development teams in a number of sectors, including pioneering HD digital television distribution systems at Limt AB, a Swedish owned public company where he was global CTO overseeing a technical staff of around 200 engineers and managers. Nigel studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Newcastle in England.
Nigel is a world traveler, having visited 26 countries, he has the ability to order beer and say thank you in most of them. In his spare time you can catch him watching Formula One racing or reading an adventurous novel on his Kindle.
Lisa Cowan is responsible for overseeing all sales and business development for LumenVox. Lisa came to LumenVox as a speech industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in global sales and marketing working for industry leading telecommunications and software companies such as Avaya, Nortel, Nuance Communications, and Siemens. In addition to having worked in multiple international marketing and sales roles, her other areas of expertise include channel, direct and alliance sales management, and business development. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
During her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, the outdoors, volunteering, and community service work. She has worked and lived in Germany and the Netherlands, and has several creative interests, including music, painting, and photography.
Jeff Hopper is responsible for all global customer facing client services including support, training and solution design. He comes to LumenVox with over 20 years of expertise in speech recognition, in–bound and out–bound customer self–service applications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications, multi–channel contact centers, call routing in call centers and the supporting technologies; including 5 years at Nuance Communications as North American Director of Sales Engineering and 5 years with Siebel Systems as Sales Consulting Manager. Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lambuth University.
Jeff is an avid traveler and amateur photographer; he has taken pictures in all 50 states and over 20 countries. He also enjoys hiking and camping in the Mountains of Washington, cooking, and gardening.
Joanne supports sales, marketing, and accounting, and is responsible for billing and customer administrative issues at LumenVox.
